The Youlbury District Camp was the best camp I'd been on in ages.
The best thing about the camp was the 3G-Swing (G string haha)
What happens on the G Swing is -
There are two seats attached to a giant bar, like a two-seater swing. The seats are attached to a bungee chord that is pulled to lift up the seats. Each seat has straps and safety belts so you can't fall out. The seat on the left is tilted backwards more than the seat on the right, so the left seat (blue seat) makes the person in it go upside-down on the first swing. I sat in the red seat on the right
The rest of my group (Iver, James, Carys, Harry, Ryan, Paul and Liam) pulled the rope attached to the seat to lift me and Stephen off the ground. We were lifted around 10 meters off the ground, which is pretty high up when you're sitting in the seats!
Once they had finished pulling us up, they shouted "PULL THE CHORD!"
Stephen was on the left, so he started pulling the chord, but then he stopped half way. He said, "Pull it, Moll."
"No, pull the rest of it!" I said.
"Pull the rest now!"
"I'll stay here all day! Pull the chord!"
Stephen refused to pull it, so I just grabbed it and yanked it as hard as I could. Click. We plummeted towards the earth but was stopped with a giant swing. Stephen was sat next to me screaming his head off! So I joined in! Then I turned my head towards the group and said "THIS IS IMMENSE YOU'VE GOTTA DO IT!"
It was the best thing I ever did
